From Vancouver: Head East on Highway 1 towards Hope. At Hope follow Highway 3 towards Castlegar. from Castlegar follow Highway 3A Northeast towards Balfour. Continue North on Highway 31 from Balfour to Kaslo.
From Calgary: Head South on Highway 2 or Highway 22 to Highway 3. Go West on Highway 3 to Creston, then North on Highway 3A to the Kootenay Bay/Balfour ferry. Head North on Highway 31 from Balfour to Kaslo. OR Head West on Highway 1 through Banff to Revelstoke. Go South on Highway 23 to Nakusp to the Shelter Bay/Galena Bay ferry. Then East on Highway 6 to New Denver. Continue East on Highway 31A to Kaslo. OR Head West on Highway 1 through Banff to Highway 93. Follow South on Highway 93 to Radium Hot Springs, then South on Highway 95 to Cranbrook. Go West on Highway 3 to Creston, then North on Highway 3A to the Kootenay Bay/Balfour ferry. Head North on Highway 31 from Balfour to Kaslo.
From Kelowna: Head North on Highway 97 to Vernon. At Vernon turn East on Highway 6 to Nakusp/New Denver to take the Needles/Fauquier ferry. Continue East on Highway 31A to Kaslo.
