Chyvonne Lynch
General Manager
Chyvonne worked as the Director of Operations, Assistant Executive Director, and Box Office Manager for the Kaslo Jazz Etc. Summer Music Festival for 4 years​. She is experienced in managing staff departments; coordinating artist accommodations; overseeing marketing, advertising and social media. Chyvonne has established connections in the music industry through her experience at KJES and is a huge music lover. Chyvonne oversees all aspects of the studio’s operations.
Lorna Lynch
Owner of Propel Studios
Lorna has been an owner-operator of multiple successful businesses for over 30 years. She has 30+ years experience in public relations, marketing, business administration and human resources, and 25 years in the tourism industry.
Glynis Waring
Assistant Manager
Glynis has a diploma in Theatre Arts from MacEwan University, Edmonton, AB. She worked as the office Manager of the Kaslo Jazz Etc Music Festival for 2 years, and has been a successful business owner-operator for 5 years. Glynis is experienced in all aspects of business administration and assists with the day to day functioning of Propel Studios.
Marty Lynch
Studio Manager
Marty has been a small-business manager for 35 years. He has 40 years experience as a performer, songwriter and recording artist. Marty has broad knowledge of the music industry and recording equipment and oversees all aspects of the studio equipment including setup and troubleshooting.
Hunter Stanway
Staff Recording Engineer
Hunter is a Kaslo local and has a Diploma in Contemporary Music and Technology from the Selkirk College Music Program in Nelson, BC.
He has ten years experience as a performer and recording artist and seven years as sound engineer in Halifax and Greater Vancouver.
Blair Calibaba
Senior Engineer/Consultant
Blair has worked as a producer and engineer in music production and live sound reinforcement for 20+ years. He worked at renowned studios including Mushroom, The Armoury, The Warehouse, Hipposonic in Vancouver, Metalworks in Mississauga, ON, and several studios in Calgary, Winnipeg, Seattle, and Hong Kong.
He also toured extensively with several artists as a sound mixer and tour manager, visiting over 30 countries. He has a broad knowledge of recording production and live sound equipment and their applications.
Daryl Chonka
Studio Producer/Consultant
Daryl spent the past 25 years as a touring musician, singer/songwriter, world stage and production manager, video design artist, recording engineer, record/video producer, sound designer and production/talent consultant. In this capacity, he worked alongside artists including Randy Bachman, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Neil Young, Peter Frampton, America, ZZ Top and The Sadies.
He also owned and operated Old Growth Music, a recording studio and video production company on Salt Spring Island with hundreds of completed projects for clients ranging from Cadillac to Bachman Turner, Booster Juice to Raffi.
